iiGreen Country storms are hard on trees
The ice storm of December 9 and 10, 2007 left more than 200,000 homes in eastern Oklahoma without power for days, and the National Weather Service called the tree damage something that would take years to recover from. On June 18, 2023, a windstorm left 204,677 customers in the Tulsa area without power at its peak, with unofficial gusts of 117 mph recorded in midtown. A tree that’s been trimmed and thinned before storm season holds up better than one carrying dead limbs over a roof.
iiiStumps and lot clearing
A stump left in the yard can sprout again, or sit there rotting where you mow. We grind stumps out. For bigger ground, like a lot getting ready for a build or acreage that has filled in with brush and small trees, we clear it, and with our skid steer and dump trailer the debris can leave in the same trip.
ivCleanup is part of the job
In Tulsa, the city’s bulky pickup takes large yard waste only when it’s cut shorter than 6 feet and thinner than 18 inches across, and you schedule it ahead. When we trim or take something down, hauling and cleanup are part of the work, so there’s no pile on the curb waiting for a pickup day.
vIf a limb is on a power line
Call your electric company first. Nobody should be working a limb that’s touching a line.
